The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity 700 shapes up to be one of the best equipped Android tablets this far into 2012. Its spec sheet features an NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset with four CPU cores, clocked at 1.6GHz, a Super IPS+ LCD display with the impressive resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, and an 8MP snapper on the back, the Pad Infinity packs a optional 32/64 GB of intern storage expandable up to 32GB with Micro SD, and a 1GB built in RAM.
While the specs of the tablet are hardly a surprise, it is the level of craftsmanship which impresses. An aluminum forging process, normally found in the aviation industry has been used to compress the metal of the tablet. A molding of the plastic parts with the metal at nano level has lead to the lack of any screws on the slate’s body. And of course, Corning Gorilla Glass 2 is protecting that precious screen at the device’s front.
