LG announced it had reached a new milestone in its global sales with more than 5 million LTE smartphones sold to date. After reaching the 4 million last month, another million smartphones were sold during the month of July, nearly a LTE smartphone every two seconds and a half.
LG has released its first LTE smartphone “RevolutionTM by LG” in the USA in May of last year through the largest operator, Verizon Wireless, and then expanded its market share thanks to LTE smartphones worldwide.
By focusing on key markets with LTE features, LG has been very well received by the various LTE smartphones meet the different needs of consumers. Currently, more than ten LTE smartphones from LG is available in countries where LTE is available, including Korea, the USA, Japan, and some markets in Europe and Asia.
Although Optimus LTE deserves the title of LTE smartphone from LG’s most popular with over two million sales, the Optimus Vu has sold over 500,000 copies since March, again demonstrating the acceptance of product to market before its release overall. With the release of the first LTE smartphone with 2GB of RAM, the Optimus LTE II, in May, LG has seen its sales explode and be the fastest of all smartphone sales LTE with nearly 500,000 copies sold in 70 days.
