Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL will reach the shores of Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia before the end of Q1 and is very likely to be launched in other regions shortly after.
The Xperia Z will be made available in Black, White and Purple color variants, while the Xperia ZL will be up for grabs in Black and White versions. The device package is said to contain Sony MH-EX300AP headset, charger, micro USB cable for charging, synchronization, file transfer and user documentation.
However, there is no officially confirmation on the pricing of these devices in the region just yet.
Sony made a real deal with their Xperia Z and ZL announcement at CES this year.
Besides the 5-inch 1080p screen, the Xperia Z features a 13MP camera with an Exmor RS sensor, which is supposedly improved over last year’s Exmor R lineup. There is also a built-in real-time HDR mode for shooting video, which sounds intriguing, to say the least.

Back to yesterday we brought you a report that the Xperia Z and Xperia ZL will be joining forces to tackle the competition in Canada.
Today, courtesy of Sony Xperia CA, comes a confirmation that the Xperia ZL will be Canada-bound, which is great news for those who fancy it over the more slender Xperia Z.
It looks that earlier infos that the Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL aren’t going to share markets was wrong – Sony Mobile’s Twitter account posted a message saying that both Xperia Z an ZL will be available in Canada.

Anyway, it’s a good thing that Sony giving users oppurtunity to choose which model they want.
Worldwide launch plans are still not officially announced yet, so it’s unclear if other regions like mainland Europe, the UK and Australia (all of which are slated to get the Xperia Z) will have such a choice.
Both Android phones were announced during CES and they share a lot of their specs, including screen and chipset. The Xperia Z is thin (7.9mm) and waterproof, but has a larger footprint (139 x 71mm), while the Xperia ZL is not water-proof and is thicker (9.8mm), but it’s smaller (131.6 x 69.3).
The Sony Xperia Z was just announced here at CES, and Sony has been quick to release some a promo video showing off the impressive device.

Sony Community Manager Marcus Hansson details the Z’s powerful chipset and, as you can see in the photo above, its IP57 certification.
The Sony Xperia Z powered by the latest Snapdragon S4 Pro with a quad-core 1.5GHz Krait processor, Adreno 320 graphics and 2GB of RAM.
The Xperia Z smartphone is built around a 5-inch LED-backlit 1080p display powering by Mobile Bravia 2 Engine and has a 13MP Exmor RS camera sensor capable of 1080p video recording with HDR option at its disposal.
The Xperia Z is IP57-certified for dust and water resistance. It bets on the unibody design and has a non-removable 2,330 mAh battery.
In the connectivity side has – LTE, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and FM radio. There is a microSD slot too.
The Xperia Z runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is skinned with the latest version of Sony’s proprietary launcher.
It will hit the shelves this March, but its pricing is yet to be announced.
