Nintendo announced the Wii Mini – it’s a smaller and lighter version of the original Wii console sans the internet connection.
The new Wii Mini is intended as a gaming only device and is able to run all original Wii games. GameCube compatibility won’t be available though.
The Wii Mini will be available only in matte black with red boarder and comes with a red Wii Remote Plus and a red Nunchuk controller.
Wii Mini launches on December 7 on $99.99. Unfortunately it’s going to be exclusive to Canada initially and there is no info if and when it will become available elsewhere.
Satoru Iwata, CEO of Nintendo is the first to unpack a Wii U. While the Nintendo’s new console are not available yet in stores, Nintendo’s CEO has played the game and it’s apparently a first for him (as we for us to see it) as he will try to keep you entertained for up to 5 minutes 34 sencods. In addition, Nintendo has also posted two other videos retail system user accounts and chat.
The Wii U chat has also got a brief mention, with the Japan-based Satoru Iwata-san making a quick call to his American colleague Reggie Fils-Aime, with streaming video and audio , with a little bit of art – done through the GamePad’s touchscreen. Users will be notified of incoming calls through the home button (Like we saw before, during Wii U’s presentations).
