The highly anticipated next gen Apple iPhone (weither if it the 5S or 6) continues to make the rounds in the rumor mill. According to the latest rumors the next gen iPhone will feature an improved 2MP front-facing camera.
The report comes from iOSDoc and says the next iPhone will come out with iOS 7 on board and the smartphone will have the ability to record Full HD videos.
Furthermore, the latest version of iOS, which is yet to be announced at the WWDC of this year, will have a new feature called dual-shot, which is quite similar to the dual-camera mode on the LG Optimus G Pro and the one on the Samsung Galaxy S4.
The dual-shot feature allows you to capture images and videos with both front facing camera as well as the backboon camera at the same time. The feature is still in its beta testing phase and is expected to be integrated into the final iOS 7 version as soon as the testing phese is completed.
Unfortunately, the dual-shot feature will be made exclusive for iPhone 5S and will not be available on any older iPhones gen.

Well the next gen iPhone (iPhone 5S) can’t last in dark, and today we have some interesting pictures of what is allegedly a prototype of the next Apple iPhone.
While the pictures aren’t of the best quality or taken in studio conditions they do reveal a lot about the pictured smartphone. For one it sheds off the iconic home button and replaces it with a real edge-to-edge display (although we can’t see the actual screen underneath).
Then there’s the design – it’s sloped towards the edges, which coincides with a patent application from the Cupertino company that was approved last week.
The sketch from the Apple patent application
However, we have to note that this kind of design isn’t typical of Apple. The company tends to favor more squarish designs, which allow it to make full use of the space within the smartphone’s chassis and create more compact devices.
We urge you to take these photos with several pinches of salt as the device pictured above could either be photoshopped or even digitally rendered altogether.
There’s one scenario that might make sense here – what you are seeing could be a prototype on which Apple is working. All major manufacturers consider and test a number of different designs before settling on the final version. It might also be a case specially designed to conceal the look of the Apple iPhone 5S, but that seems too much effort – these dev units are usually simple plastic rectangles.

According to a new report in the Wall Street Journal, the production of a new Apple iPhone will start this quarter. Citing anonymous sources who are familiar with Apple’s plans, the seventh-generation Apple iPhone could have a summer launch. In addition, the Cupertino based company is working with its partners in Asia to develop a low-priced version of its iconic smartphone.
The cheaper model of the Apple iPhone will probably carry a 4 inch display like the Apple iPhone 5, but will use a different casing. Different color shells have been tested, according to the Journal. Neil Mawston, an analyst at research firm Strategy Analytics, says that Apple should take a page from its rival Samsung and introduce more products with less time between releases. Getting back to the next generation Apple iPhone, most analysts expect Apple to make the usual changes that it does with an incremental update. That would mean a new processor and a new camera can be expected with an Apple iPhone 5S. Earlier talk about a fingerprint scanner for the home button has been pretty much forgotten over the last few weeks and a photo allegedly of the home button for the Apple iPhone 5S failed to reveal any such components.
The Apple iPhone is important to Apple because it is its most profitable product. According to Strategy Analytics, Apple controlled 8.6% of global handset shipments, but captured 66% of the profits. On the other hand, Samsung owned 25% of the smartphone market last year, but only 19% of its profits. This gives Apple the leeway to cut prices, sell more devices at a lower margin, and increase its profits.
