After the apology that Tim Cook wrote yesterday before users iOS 6, apologizing of the inconvenient state of their new mapping service and promised to work hard to make it better. While most have stopped at that, Tim Cook went on to say that there are other mapping services, which iOS 6 users can use until the Apple mapping service becomes usable .
Now, Apple has made a step forward and created a section in the App Store which you can find on your iPhone, titled “Find Maps for your iPhone” By clicking on it shows you a bunch of different mapping services, free and paid, which you can download and install on your iOS device.
What is missing from the list are Nokia and Google services, but that’s because they do not have a dedicated app for iOS. Meanwhile Apple has, provided a dedicated page, where as you can see on the picture above tells you how to access to their Web services and save it as an icon on your home screen for quick access.
