Sony just announced the Xperia AX, the Japanese version of the Xperia V .
The Sony Xperia AX is pretty much an exact replica of the Xperia V – it has IP57 certification, 4.3″ HD Reality Display screen, powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, 13 MP fast-capture camera with new shooting modes – Superior Auto feature, enabling low-light snapping and Picture Effect that lets you preview snaps using different effects, LTE connectivity and dual-core Krait processor. It will come with Sony’ Walkman app, ClearAudio+ and media apps.
The rest is the same – really, Sony’s blog even used a picture of the Xperia V (including the note below it), instead of an actual Xperia AX image.
The phone will launch running Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich by the end of the year (so it will probably launch around the same time as the Xperia V does).
Other thing to mention, the Sony Xperia AX will feature popular Japan-specific features such as : infrared port data exchange, mobile wallet and mobile TV, NFC enabled – allowing you to enjoy photos and music through an effortless ‘One-touch’ share, doing away with the need for clumsy pairing processes. And other japanese stuff.
